Ingredients

Person(s)
  • 2 medium
    Honeycrisp or Fuji apples
  • 1 tbsp
    Unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp
    Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    Granulated sugar
Directions
  • Prepare the Apples

Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Using a mandoline or a sharp knife, slice them into very thin rounds, about ⅛-inch thick. Remove any seeds as you slice. Pat the slices dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  • Season the Apples

Brush both sides of the apple slices lightly with melted butter. Mix the cinnamon and optional sugar in a small bowl, then sprinkle evenly over both sides of the apple slices.

  • Air Fry the Apple Chips

Preheat the air fryer to 300°F. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flip each slice, then continue cooking for another 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the apples are mostly dry. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the slices and your air fryer model.

  • Cool Until Crispy

Transfer the apple chips to a wire rack and let them cool for 10–15 minutes. They will continue to crisp as they cool. Serve immediately or store for later.
