- Prepare the Sheet Pan and Ingredients
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Arrange the asparagus evenly on one side of the sheet pan. Drizzle the asparagus with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly combined. Place the salmon fillets on the sheet pan beside the asparagus. Spoon the garlic butter mixture generously over each salmon piece.
- Bake the Salmon and Asparagus
Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. The asparagus should be tender while still slightly crisp. For extra color, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end of cooking, watching carefully
- Serve and Finish
Remove the sheet pan from the oven and let the salmon rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices for an extra fresh flavor. Serve immediately with rice, roasted potatoes, or your favorite side dish
