Ingredients
2
Person(s)
  • 2 small
    French baguettes or Vietnamese-style baguettes
  • 8 ounces
    Cooked pork slices
  • 1/2 cup
    Pickled carrots
  • 1/2 cup
    Thinly sliced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup
    Fresh cilantro leave
  • 2 tbsp
    Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp
    Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp
    Sriracha or chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp
    Sliced jalapeños
  • 1/2 tsp
    Freshly ground black pepper
Directions
  • Prepare the Baguettes

Slice the baguettes lengthwise, leaving one side connected so they open like a sandwich. If desired, lightly toast the bread for a few minutes to create extra crispiness, then allow it to cool slightly before assembling.

  • Add the Flavor Base

Spread mayonnaise evenly inside each baguette. Mix the soy sauce with sriracha and drizzle lightly over the bread for extra savory and spicy flavor.

  • Assemble the Sandwich

Layer the cooked pork evenly inside each baguette. Add pickled carrots, cucumber slices, fresh cilantro, and jalapeños if using. Season lightly with black pepper.

  • Serve and Enjoy

Press the sandwich gently together and slice it in half if desired. Serve immediately while the baguette is crisp and the fillings are fresh.
