- Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and black pepper until smooth. Set aside.
- Cook the Broccoli
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently, until bright green and crisp-tender. Transfer the broccoli to a plate.
- Cook the Beef
Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Arrange the sliced beef in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned. Avoid overcrowding the pan, cooking in batches if necessary. Add the garlic and grated ginger during the final minute and stir until fragrant.
- Combine Everything
Return the broccoli to the skillet. Pour in the prepared sauce and stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until it thickens and coats the beef and broccoli evenly. Remove from the heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately over steamed white rice, brown rice, or cooked noodles.
