- Prepare & Season the Chicken
Pat chicken breasts dry using paper towels.
If needed, gently pound them to an even thickness for uniform cooking.In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Sprinkle seasoning evenly over both sides of the chicken, then lightly dust with flour for a golden crust. - Sear the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add chicken breasts and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.Remove chicken from the pan and set aside (it will finish cooking later in the sauce.
- Build the Creamy Sauce
Lower heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and scrape up all browned bits from the pan to build flavor.
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken slightly.
- Simmer, Finish & Serve
Return chicken to the skillet along with any juices. Spoon sauce over the top.
Simmer for 10–12 minutes until chicken is fully cooked (165°F / 74°C) and sauce is rich and creamy.
Stir in fresh basil just before serving.
Garnish with extra basil and Parmesan cheese, and serve hot with pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.
